SunEdison Completes Construction Of New Hampshire's Largest Solar Power Plant

SunEdison announced that it has completed construction on New Hampshire's largest solar power plant, a 942 kilowatt (KW) DC solar power plant for the town of Peterborough. SunEdison will supply solar energy generated by this system to the town over the next 20 years, saving taxpayers an estimated $250,000 on energy. The Peterborough solar system is expected to generate more than 100 percent of the town's waste water treatment facility's electricity needs.

Vermont Microbrewery Taps Solar For Its Brewing Operations

AllEarth Renewables, a solar tracker manufacturer and developer of solar projects, and the Alchemist, a Vermont (US) microbrewery, have announced a partnership that will provide the brewery solar energy from a portion of a 150kW Vermont solar orchard. The new solar project will provide nearly 100% of the energy the Waterbury brewery needs annually with emissions free, net metered solar and provide the company long-term annual savings on its electric bill.

sPower And Borrego Complete 9.1MW Solar Project in New York

sPower, a renewable energy provider, and Borrego Solar Systems Inc., a designer, developer, installer and financier of grid-tied solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, today announced the completion of and connection to PSEG-LI’s electrical grid of the sPower Sutter and Sterlington solar projects in the Town of Riverhead, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York (US). The two projects comprise the sPower Riverhead Solar Farm. With a combined system size of 6.3 MWac (9.1 MWdc), Riverhead Solar will produce more than 12 million kilowatt-hours of energy annually, enough to power 1,100 homes.
