SEIA celebrates 40 years of service to solar industry
PHOTON International - How times have changed. On Jan. 24, 1974 - with Richard Nixon in the White House, but embroiled in the Watergate scandal - five people met in the noisy basement of the Washington Hilton to discuss the possibility of establishing an association for the nascent solar energy industry, writes Rhone Resch, President and CEO of the Solar Energy Industries Association.
Congress needs to pass new energy efficiency law
PHOTON International - One of the most inefficient uses of time right now is trying to figure out why Congress can't pass new energy efficiency legislation, which is widely supported by both Republicans and Democrats. For most people, it's a no brainer, writes Rhone Resch, President and CEO of the Solar Energy Industries Association.
The Climate Group, SEIA join forces to help reduce pollution
PHOTON International - In 1970, the first ever Earth Day was held to demonstrate broad global support for environmental protection. At the time, the world's population stood at 3.63 billion people. Today, that number has more than doubled, writes Rhone Resch, President and CEO of the Solar Energy Industries Association.

Background for NY REV Docket
Last year SEIA was involved in a group that worked on the MAssachusetts Grid Modernization docket. While narrower in its approach that docket covered some of the same issues raised in the NY docket. The attached two documents provide some information on our basic principles in that docket as well as the final report that went to the MA DPU (SEIA was part of the clean coalition).Again, we will review SEIA's approach to this docket on next week's NY call.ThanksCarrie
