SEIA has launched a new resource to help our member companies address hiring needs in near vicinity to your upcoming projects.
In the future, less than half of all new solar jobs will require a bachelor’s degree. Community colleges, technical colleges and two-year certificate programs play a key role in training and building the variety of workers needed by the solar and storage industries. These include electricians, PV installers, construction workers, equipment operators, carpenters, project managers and more.
SEIA members can access our interactive map that locates these institutions in near vicinity to your upcoming projects. The map provides links to their career offices for your hiring and job fair purposes and highlights solar-relevant programming for each institution for you to connect with for your curriculum and/or upskilling needs. You can zoom in on the map to see locations of nearby airports, building/campus footprints and other important sites and landmarks to help you plan for your hiring trips and needs.
SEIA members can access the interactive map on the Sphere, SEIA's exclusive member portal.
