WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), the national trade association for the United States’ solar and storage industry, announced that Primergy, a California based developer, owner and operator of solar and storage projects, will be joining SEIA’s board of directors.
As landmark energy incentives ramp up American solar manufacturing and companies race to meet the high demand for solar solutions, Primergy’s expertise in developing thoughtful, locally minded projects across the country will help SEIA’s board of directors deliver its goals for the Solar+ Decade.
“SEIA is excited to welcome Primergy to our board of directors,” said SEIA president and CEO Abigail Ross Hopper. “Primergy’s focus on engaging with community stakeholders and developing lasting partnerships exemplifies the work of our industry. As we push to meet our goals for the Solar+ Decade, Primergy’s perspective will be a valuable addition to our board of directors.”
Founded in 2020, Primergy works to develop, finance, build, own and operate utility-scale solar, commercial solar and large-scale battery storage projects. The company’s current portfolio includes projects across fifteen states.
“We are proud to join SEIA’s board of directors and collaborate with the leading organizations in our industry to harness the power of solar energy and energy storage,” said Ty Daul, CEO of Primergy Solar. “Our country’s energy reliability and resilience depend on the mass deployment of cost-effective clean energy and together we can drive innovation and policy to accelerate its adoption nationwide.”
Solar energy is a powerful economic engine that employs more than 255,000 Americans, supports more than 10,000 businesses and continues to drive major investments into American communities.
With a goal of comprising 30% of all U.S. electricity generation by 2030, the U.S. solar and storage industry is working to create well-paying jobs, lower electricity bills for American families, and enhance American energy security. In collaboration with Primergy and companies across the industry, SEIA is protecting and advancing policies that will help deliver an equitable clean energy economy for all Americans.
