SEIA Welcomes SunLink Corporation as Newest Board Member

WASHINGTON, DC – Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), the national trade association of the U.S. solar energy industry, announced today that SunLink Corporation, a leading commercial photovoltaic (PV) mounting system and solar project solutions company, has joined SEIA’s board. SunLink, a California-based company, is a leader in driving the innovations that make solar easier, safer, more reliable and less expensive to install. SEIA President and CEO Rhone Resch said SunLink’s proven success can be measured on commercial and utility-scale projects across North America – including many in the world’s most extreme environments.

“We are very excited about SunLink Corporation joining our board and look forward to benefitting from their extensive R&D expertise and project experience,” said Resch. “SunLink’s commitment to providing economically and environmentally-responsible clean energy aligns seamlessly with SEIA’s mission and vision.”

As one of the original balance of systems companies in solar, SunLink has evolved into a leading solar solutions provider with well-designed products and valuable services that help their partners overcome obstacles. To further drive the company’s mission, technology veteran Michael Maulick took the helm at SunLink earlier this year, having been named president and CEO in January 2015.

“SunLink prides itself in bringing the best solar solutions to market. We, like SEIA, also understand the importance of driving growth and fostering evolution in our industry as a means to advance universal solar power adoption,” said Maulick. “Joining the board extends our ability to elevate the industry and partner with solar’s other top companies to positively influence the adoption of this renewable energy source and its benefits worldwide. We look forward to contributing our unique expertise and using our legacy as leverage on the board.”

America’s solar energy industry employs 174,000 workers – more than tech giants Apple, Google, Facebook and Twitter combined – and pumps nearly $18 billion a year into our economy – making solar one of the fastest-growing industries in America. Today, there are 20 gigawatts (GW) of installed solar capacity in the United States – enough to power more than 4 million American homes – and those numbers are expected to double by the end of 2016.
