SEIA Elevates Ben Norris to General Counsel and Senior Vice President of Regulatory Affairs

WASHINGTON D.C. — The Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) today announced that Ben Norris has been elevated to serve as the organization’s general counsel and senior vice president of regulatory affairs.

In his expanded role, Norris will continue to lead SEIA’s regulatory advocacy with federal and state agencies, while also overseeing the organization’s legal and governance work.

“Ben is a trusted leader and strong advocate for SEIA and its members, and his deep industry and policy expertise makes him the right person to lead our legal and regulatory work at this critical moment,” said SEIA CEO Tim Pawlenty.

Norris joined SEIA in 2021 and leads the organization’s regulatory affairs team and advocacy efforts on a range of issues affecting the solar and storage industry, including tax policy, electricity markets, permitting, and transmission.

“I’m honored to take on this expanded role to ensure the solar and storage industry has a strong voice before regulators while operating with the highest standards of legal and organizational integrity,” said Norris.
