Ben Norris serves as SEIA’s General Counsel & Senior Vice President of Regulatory Affairs. Ben oversees SEIA’s in-house legal and regulatory team and leads all of SEIA’s advocacy efforts on federal regulatory matters, including engagement with the White House, Department of Energy, and the Department of the Treasury. He is responsible for counseling the CEO and Board of Directors on all legal matters affecting SEIA and its member companies. He also represents SEIA in litigation to defend the interests of the solar and storage industry.
Before joining SEIA, Ben served as senior counsel at the American Petroleum Institute and as an associate at a Washington, D.C. law firm representing global energy companies.
Ben holds a B.A. from Rice University and a J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis. He lives in Washington, D.C.
