Paige Sawyers
Paige Sawyers is SEIA’s State and Regulatory Affairs Coordinator. Prior to joining SEIA, Paige served as a government relations intern with ASME, assisting with policy tracking and legislative strategy development on clean energy, artificial intelligence, and manufacturing. She also interned with Congress and Tennessee’s state legislature, working closely with legislators and stakeholders to drive impactful policymaking. Paige holds a B.S. in Political Science from Belmont University and is attaining her Master of Public Administration from American University.

Caitlin Vincent is the Southeast Senior Manager at SEIA, managing and supporting policy and advocacy efforts primarily in the Carolinas, FL, GA, KY, TN, and gulf coast states as needed.
Maren Taylor
Maren Taylor is SEIA’s Director of Regulatory Affairs. She represents SEIA regarding environmental and public lands issues of importance to the solar industry before federal executive agencies and Congress. Before joining SEIA, Maren was an Attorney Adviser at FERC, and before that, worked with businesses to drive support for U.S climate goals at Environmental Defense Fund.
Bheshaj Krishnappa
Bheshaj Krishnappa is Director of Cybersecurity Policy & Reliability. In this role, he leads analysis on cybersecurity related topics related to integrating solar energy into the grid and advises stakeholders on policies and best practices to ensure reliability of solar energy resources across the nation. Prior to joining SEIA, Bheshaj worked at a regional regulator ensuring electric service reliability of bulk electric system across Midwest and mid-Atlantic states, and Washington D.C.
Leah Meredith
Leah is the Mid-Atlantic Senior Manager at SEIA, managing and supporting SEIA’s policy and advocacy efforts in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
Valessa Souter-Kline
Valessa Souter-Kline is SEIA's Northeast Regional Director, working on regulatory and legislative matters, principally in New York, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.
Markus Pitchford
Markus is the Central Regional Manager at SEIA, managing and supporting SEIA’s policy and advocacy efforts in Illinois, Michigan, and Texas. Prior to joining SEIA, Markus was the Director of External and Legislative Affairs for the Mayor of Waukegan in Illinois, where he covered economic development, infrastructure, climate change and sustainability. He also has ten years of experience with the Illinois Senate Democratic Caucus.
Melissa Alfano
Melissa Alfano is SEIA’s Senior Director of Energy Markets and Counsel. She represents SEIA regarding energy matters of importance to the solar industry before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and Regional Transmission Organizations. Before joining SEIA, Melissa represented public power utilities before FERC and served two years on FERC staff. Melissa holds a B.S. in economics from James Madison University and a J.D. from George Mason University. She resides in Northern Virginia with her husband and two children.
Jeanne Armstrong
Jeanne holds the position of Senior Regulatory Counsel at SEIA. In this position she manages regulatory initiatives before state agencies representing all major solar market segments. Currently focused on California she also will be assisting in regulatory matters to advance solar markets in other western states.
