Give the Sun a Break: Solar Eclipse in California

On August 21st, California will have a once-in-50-years solar eclipse that will block most of the sunlight across the state. On this day, we're calling on Californians to “give the sun a break” by choosing to save energy rather than using gas plants. We are asking you to take a simple step to save energy during the eclipse by making a pledge on www.caleclipse.org.

Solar Can Thrive Despite Paris Decision

  When the United States and countries around the world signed the Paris Agreement just over a year ago, it clearly pointed to greater use of solar energy around the world. The U.S. solar industry is reducing carbon emissions by more than 52 million metric tons annually.  SEIA supported the Paris Agreement through negotiations and when it was signed, and we believe that the United States should stay engaged in it.
