The Hill Names Abigail Ross Hopper a Top Lobbyist in 2020

Every year, The Hill recognizes the top influencers and lobbyists working in Washington, DC.

This year, SEIA’s President and CEO Abigail Ross Hopper was named to their Top Lobbyist List, highlighting her visionary leadership and advocacy efforts for the solar industry.

As President and CEO, Abby oversees all of SEIA’s activities, including government affairs, research, communications, and industry leadership, and is dedicated to achieving our goals in the Solar+ Decade.

In such an unprecedented and challenging year, Abby successfully advocated for the industry. As a direct result of her advocacy efforts, solar was named an essential service by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and several pro-solar provisions were included in the Moving Forward Act that was passed by the U.S. House of Representatives in July. With Abby’s continued leadership, clean energy can add billions of dollars to the economy and put tens of thousands of Americans back to work.

As 2020 comes to a close and the transition to a new administration continues, Abby will push President-elect Biden and the new Congress to meet the climate moment with SEIA’s solar vision.
