Ruthie is the Director of State Affairs managing policy and advocacy efforts in the Northeast region.
Prior to joining SEIA, Ruthie worked at PosiGen, where she advanced equitable solar policy aimed at expanding access to residential solar and delivering meaningful savings to those who need it most. Her work in solar and storage is guided by a commitment to centering frontline communities and the urgent need to increase grid reliability.
Ruthie received her BA in African American Studies from the University of Michigan- Ann Arbor and an MS in Energy & Sustainability from Northwestern University. When she’s not listening to energy podcasts, you can find Ruthie swimming laps, playing pickleball, or hanging out with family and friends. A native of California, she now resides in Brooklyn.
