Philip Gunn is a seasoned international trade and policy expert with extensive experience in trade policy analysis, economic policy, and stakeholder engagement. As the Executive Director of the Washington Export Council, Philip revitalized the organization by increasing membership and enhancing operational efficiency. He has also led key discussions with senior government officials on critical trade issues.
Previously, Philip worked as an International Trade Analyst at the U.S. Department of Commerce, contributing to fair trade practices, and as the Director of Outreach at Washington Analysis LLC, where he created an influential events program. Philip is a graduate of Georgetown University’s Master’s in International Business and Policy program, with a focus on trade, finance, and international investment. He also holds a Bachelor’s in History and Chinese from American University.
Fluent in Swedish, Philip brings strong expertise in policy research, stakeholder engagement, and strategic decision-making to the table. In his free time, Philip enjoys playing basketball and watching NHL/NFL—go Caps/Commanders!
