Jonathan Iwaskiw
Director, Congressional Affairs
As Director of Congressional Affairs, Jonathan leads legislative advocacy on agriculture and workforce issues and supports SEIA’s tax and energy work. Jonathan is an experienced bipartisan advocate in the agriculture, energy, and sustainability space. He joins SEIA after spending three years with Feeding America as Manager of Legislative Affairs. At Feeding America, Jonathan cultivated relationships with policymakers across the aisle to secure federal funding for food banks and advance priorities in bipartisan legislation like the Farm Bill and annual appropriations legislation. Prior to his time at Feeding America, Jonathan served on the legislative staff to Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), where he primarily focused on energy and environment issues, working with energy stakeholders across Texas.
A Maryland native, Jonathan is a lifelong Baltimore sports fan. He currently lives in Washington D.C. and enjoys exploring local DMV-area trails, running on the National Mall, and participating in bar trivia. He holds a B.A. in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia.
