Dexter Hendricks

Dexter Hendricks is Senior Manager, Interconnection Policy at SEIA, where he leads state-level advocacy and regulatory strategy to improve interconnection policy and support faster, more transparent, and fairer access to the electric grid for solar and energy storage projects.

Dexter has more than a decade of experience working at the intersection of clean energy policy, grid modernization, and generator interconnection. Before joining SEIA, Dexter led interconnection policy at the Coalition for Community Solar Access (CCSA), where he represented the distributed solar and storage industry in state regulatory proceedings and worked with utilities, regulators, and other stakeholders to improve interconnection rules, processes, and grid planning practices.

Previously, Dexter served as a Technology Manager at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Solar Energy Technologies Office (SETO), where he co-led the Interconnection Innovation e-Xchange (i2X), a national initiative focused on developing and disseminating best practices for interconnecting clean energy resources to the distribution and transmission grids.

Dexter holds a B.A. from Seattle University. He lives in Alexandria, Virginia, with his wife and plants and is an avid Arsenal supporter.
