Cassidy Ballard

Deputy Chief of Staff

Cassidy Ballard is the Deputy Chief of Staff for the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA). Prior to joining SEIA, she spent four years as a political appointee in the Biden-Harris Administration, concluding her tenure at the White House as Senior Associate Director for Cabinet Affairs. Previously, she was Deputy Director of Scheduling and Advance at the U.S. Department of Energy where she led strategic planning for Secretary Jennifer Granholm’s engagements across 40+ states and internationally.

During the 2020 general election, Cassidy served as a Regional Organizing Director for the New Hampshire Democratic Party. A proud Massachusetts native, she attended Stonehill College and began her career as a grassroots organizer for Senator Elizabeth Warren, working on the senator’s 2018 re-election campaign and subsequently on her presidential primary campaign in New Hampshire and Maine.

Cassidy resides in Washington, D.C. and enjoys hosting dinner parties, exploring vintage markets, and seeing live shows across the city.
