BOSTON, Mass. — Today the Massachusetts Legislature passed Senate Bill 2967, critical bipartisan legislation that addresses key challenges facing the solar and storage industry in the Commonwealth. The bill now goes to Governor Maura Healey’s desk for her signature.
Following is a statement from Valessa Souter-Kline, Northeast regional director for the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), on this development:
“The new climate bill will accelerate the buildout of integral solar and energy storage technology in Massachusetts. We thank the Massachusetts legislature for seeing this important piece of legislation through. There is no more important time for the Commonwealth to affirm its commitment to advancing the deployment of affordable, emissions-free energy and battery storage.”
