SEIA Congratulates New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy on Re-election

WASHINGTON D.C. — Today, the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) congratulated New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy on his re-election win.

Following is a statement by Scott Elias, senior manager of state affairs, mid-Atlantic for the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA):

“The solar industry congratulates Governor Phil Murphy on his re-election. New Jersey has been an early leader in solar and Governor Murphy and his administration have made access to clean energy a priority, establishing policies that provide a framework for the solar industry to continue to create jobs and private investment across the Garden State. We look forward to working with the Murphy Administration and New Jersey regulators to ensure solar’s continued growth and advance his Energy Master Plan goal of 17 gigawatts of solar deployed by 2035.

“New Jersey has 5,384 solar jobs and has installed 3,739 megawatts of solar, the 7th most nationwide. Under Gov. Murphy’s leadership and with smart policies in place, solar growth could accelerate even faster.”
