SEIA Adds Top Manufacturing, Project Development Firms to Board of Directors

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) today announced that it is adding Recurrent Energy and Unirac, Inc. to its board of directors, and adding Novasource Power Services as a premium Gigawatt member.

These industry-leading companies represent critical sectors of the solar value chain, from manufacturing and project development to operations and maintenance.

“Recurrent, Unirac, and Novasource are key players in the solar economy that are driving job growth and infrastructure investments across the United States,” said SEIA president and CEO Abigail Ross Hopper. “As SEIA continues to advocate for policies that support these investments and foster market growth, these industry leaders will be invaluable partners to show policymakers the massive economic and energy security impact of American solar and storage.”

Recurrent Energy is one of the largest utility-scale solar and energy storage developers in the United States, with several gigawatts of projects in operation or under development that are critical to supporting a reliable, low-cost power system.

“Recurrent Energy is working to bring online new energy and storage capacity as quickly as possible in new and existing markets,” said Mike Arndt, President, North America for Recurrent Energy. “This new infrastructure is enabling American families and businesses to use the lowest-cost, domestically produced energy resources possible. We are thrilled to, once again, join the board of SEIA and to support the industry-wide effort to bring online much-needed, affordable power.”

Unirac, Inc. is a New Mexico-based manufacturer and provider of racking and mounting systems for solar projects of all sizes. Its products support over 2.5 million solar installations and are a critical part of the growing American solar supply chain.

“The solar industry is at a critical moment, and Unirac is ready to act urgently,” said Andrew Strickland, General Counsel, Unirac. “SEIA has done an excellent job representing our industry, and Unirac is excited to join SEIA’s Board of Directors in its efforts to protect current policy and spearhead new initiatives that continue America’s energy dominance and independence. Unirac shares many of SEIA’s core goals, such as creating jobs, increasing domestic manufacturing, reducing red tape blocking solar growth, and increasing energy capacity and security to meet our nation’s growing needs. We look forward to rolling up our sleeves and fighting for the entire solar industry.”

NovaSource is a leading, Arizona-based provider of operations and maintenance (O&M) services for solar and energy storage systems. In addition to O&M, NovaSource leverages its total asset optimization approach to deliver end-to-end solutions that maximize energy generation and enhance system performance. Project O&M plays a vital role in ensuring safe, reliable solar and storage systems that strengthen the resilience of America’s electric grid.

“Joining SEIA aligns perfectly with our commitment to empowering a renewable world,” said Timo Moeller, Chief Commercial Officer of NovaSource Power Services. “As the benchmark for solar O&M globally, we look forward to collaborating with SEIA and its members to shape policies, overcome market barriers, and accelerate the adoption of solar energy across North America and beyond.”

These additions to SEIA’s board and member leadership follow a record-setting year for the U.S. solar and storage industry, which accounted for 84% of all new electric generating capacity added to the grid in 2024.

SEIA’s board of directors consists of more than 50 companies from across the solar value chain.
