The event features keynote speakers, panel discussions, exhibitions, and networking opportunities for attendees to learn about the latest trends and developments in solar, energy storage, hydrogen, grid edge technologies, EV infrastructure, and more.

This event was designed to serve and advance this market by bringing together buyers and suppliers across industry segments to explore business solutions, new technologies, policy initiatives, and other market factors.

  • Connect with 4,000+ industry professionals
  • Meet with 200+ regional and national companies
  • Understand cutting-edge policy and market trends
  • Grow your customer base in this regional market

Industry leaders SEIA (Solar Energy Industries Association) and SEPA (Smart Electric Power Alliance) produce RE+ Northeast. All proceeds from the event go right back into the industry. What does this mean? It means registering for RE+ Northeast funds the year-round research and education provided by the two associations as well as SEIA’s advocacy efforts. Better yet, members of national SEIA and SEPA receive discounts to attend!

Campaigning For Projects: How to Win With Communities & Local Officials

Tuesday, February 11 | 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Presented by: Tigercomm and Community Clean Energy Coalition (CCEC)

Are you a developer encountering higher project risk from NIMBY opposition? Community engagement has emerged as the greatest immediate challenge to the clean energy transition, with sunk costs from canceled projects averaging $2 million per solar farm and $7.5 million per wind farm.

To build local support for clean energy projects and reach key stakeholders where they are, the industry must adopt more nimble and adaptable outreach techniques that mirror the tactics of sophisticated political campaigns.

This session, originally debuted at RE+ 2024, will have you design a detailed plan to win the social license from the community that commissioners need to approve your permit.

Attendees will spend the session walking step-by-step through Tigercomm’s custom campaign planning methodology driven by an experienced political mindset. This will include
identifying the right local stakeholders, communicating project benefits at the emotional level, and recruiting supporters. Participants will also receive takeaway resource guides.

Presenters:

  • Melissa Baldwin, Senior Vice President at Tigercomm
  • Ayelet Hines, Vice President of Community Engagement at Tigercomm

Cost: $350 for members and non-members to access the in-person workshop
