Complying with Regulatory Modeling Standards for Utility-Scale Solar and Storage

In this seminar, we’ll first talk about the compliance timeline for recently released modeling standards.  We’ll address the upcoming compliance dates of NERC modeling standards.  We’ll also take a look at IEEE 2800-2022, where it’s been implemented, and how it differs from NERC standards.   

Next, we’ll discuss important work processes that involve modeling, for generator owners and generator operators, including model-quality testing, model verification, and model validation and benchmarking. We’ll describe the work processes that must be defined for post-event model validation, and how to prepare for the implementation of post-event validation processes required by standards such as NERC PRC-030-1.  Finally, we go over the importance of data/model management, and how automation can facilitate standards compliance.
