Solar Stories: Reliable and Affordable

“If a storm comes through and lights kick off, I’ve still got power.”

Across the country, Americans with solar on their rooftops are speaking up about the benefits they are seeing from residential solar and storage.

• Aisha, a solar installer in Georgia, tells the story of a family who were able to keep the lights on for five hours during an outage thanks to solar + storage.
• Robert in Maryland says he wants his bills to stay low even as he runs his air conditioner in the summer months. With his rooftop solar in place, Robert recalls his last two electric bills totaling $2 and $4. He additionally likes being able to independently produce his own energy.
• Kelly in Virginia says that there have been times when his electric bill was negative, including during heat waves that cause overall energy usage to spike. He also appreciates the energy resilience that residential solar and storage provides during inclement weather.
