RE+ 2024: 6 Tips for Maximizing North America’s Biggest Clean Energy Event

RE+ 2024, the largest clean energy trade show in North America, kicks off September 9 in Anaheim, California.
The event brings together businesses, experts, policymakers, advocates, and energy lovers to advance and explore the latest developments in clean energy. As a host of the show, the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) has 6 tips to help you make the most of America’s biggest clean energy’s event.
1. Know Your Way Around
RE+ 2023 attracted over 40,000 attendees and an even bigger crowd is expected in 2024. So, knowing how to navigate from place to place is critical.
A floor plan of the convention center is available on the RE+ website to help attendees familiarize themselves with the layout of the event. During RE+, navigation kiosks and volunteers will be stationed throughout the convention to help attendees find what they need. Attendees can also download the new RE+ Connect app to help you navigate the conference and connect with other attendees.
2. Create a Plan
RE+ 2024 will have over 1300 exhibitors and almost 400 education sessions, so, you’ll need to plan ahead to make sure you’re able to experience everything the event has to offer. Make sure you check out the RE+ Schedule to search for different speakers and find the workshops, education sessions, and networking events you want to attend. Some of these sessions might require advanced registration, so be sure to check and reserve your spot ahead of time. When you make your itinerary, don’t forget to factor in walking time between each event.
This year, the schedule is a bit different. The opening general session will take place on Tuesday, September 10 at 8:30AM. There, you can meet friends and catch the opening keynote address from SEIA’s president and CEO Abigail Ross Hopper.
3. Amplify Your Attendance
Before heading to Anaheim, let your network know where they can find you at RE+. Share your participation and your company’s booth number on social media before the event to let folks know you’ll be at the event. Be sure to use the hashtag #REplus24 in all your posts to get in on the online conversation.
4. Pack for Comfort
At a huge event like RE+, you’ll definitely get your steps in. So, wear comfortable shoes and pack accordingly. The dress code for the event is business casual.
California is warm in September so drink lots of water throughout the event, wear sunscreen, and consider how you will get to and from each event.
5. Create Community
The entire clean energy industry will be in Anaheim so there are many ways to get involved and build your network.
Make time for different networking receptions and gatherings like the RE+ Job Fair, the WRISE Women’s reception, the Clean Energy Pride Gathering, and all the other unique opportunities that RE+ has to offer. Be sure to bring lots of business cards so that you never miss the chance to make a new connection.
6. Have Fun
In addition to all the business and educational opportunities at RE+, there is plenty of time for fun activities and unique experiences. The “Cheers to 20 Years” RE+ Anniversary Party will be at the House of Blues on Monday, September 9 at 6:00PM PT and the Annual Block Party is taking place at Angels Stadium at 7:30PM PT on Tuesday, September 10.
Clean energy is fastest growing industry in the United States and RE+ is the perfect place to get in on all the action. So, make a plan, pack your bags, and get ready for a sensational week.
