National Solar Capacity Ranking: 29th
Updated June 2026
Connecticut is a smaller but steadily growing solar market, with particularly strong adoption in the residential and distributed generation segments. SEIA is actively engaged in legislative and regulatory advocacy to support continued solar and storage growth, including in the development of a successor program to the state’s current net energy metering compensation structure.
SEIA’s Major Solar and Storage Projects List is a database of all U.S. ground-mounted solar projects, 1 MW and above, that are either operating, under construction or under development.
