Everything you need to know about solar finance and tax issues

WASHINGTON, Feb. 5, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ – The preeminent conference dedicated exclusively to the finance and tax issues facing the solar industry is coming to New York City this month. The Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) is hosting its annual SEIA Finance and Tax Seminar on Feb. 18-19 at the J.P. Morgan Conference Center.

Event attendees will have the chance to learn from and network with expert attorneys, developers and financiers. Thought leaders will put the latest solar industry trends in context and provide unique perspectives to help businesses stay ahead of the curve.

This year’s event includes new sessions on solar plus storage, PACE and state support programs. The three most popular tax equity structures: sale leasebacks, partnerships and inverted leases will also be discussed along with key market and policy updates that those in the industry cannot afford to miss.
Speakers include:

  • Neil Auerbach – Chief Executive Officer and Managing Partner, Hudson Clean Energy
  • Lee Peterson – Senior Manager, CohnReznick LLP
  • Keith Martin – Partner, Chadbourne & Park LLP
  • Vicki Dal Santo – Executive Director, Energy Investments, J.P. Morgan
  • Mike Mendelsohn – Senior Director of Project Finance & Capital Markets, SEIA

“SEIA does an excellent job of gathering people who are in the thick of the market,” said Keith Martin, Partner at Chadbourne & Park LLP. “The conference is a good way to stay current.”

“The SEIA Finance and Tax Seminar is a truly unique event and the timing couldn’t be better,” said Rhone Resch, SEIA president and CEO. “The recent extension of the solar investment tax credit (ITC) provides vital market certainty to our industry, encouraging companies to make long-term investments that drive competition and technological innovation, while lowering costs to consumers and spurring the economy.”

The SEIA Finance and Tax Seminar is taking place the day after SEIA’s inaugural Solar Goes Corporate event – a widely popular, already sold out gathering of the brightest minds in the solar, corporate, finance and legal sectors. Solar Goes Corporate will be held on Feb. 17 inside The New York Times Building and if  you are unable to attend, but want to watch the event, you can get information about the livestream here.
