Hannah Solar and the U.S. Navy Join Mississippi Power

Mississippi Power is partnering with Hannah Solar, LLC, and the U.S. Navy to build solar systems at two different locations in the company’s service territory. The U.S. Navy intends to fulfill the Secretary of the Navy's goal to produce one gigawatt of renewable energy.

Analysis from the Energy Department's National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) finds that by making shared solar programs available to households and businesses that currently cannot host on-site photovoltaic (PV) systems shared solar could represent 32 to 49 percent of the distributed photovoltaic market in 2020.
