Over the last year, the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) conducted pilot trials of the new SolarAPP+ platform with 5 AHJs across the country. These pilots served as an opportunity to evaluate the performance of the platform and ensure that it works with a variety AHJs with diverse characteristics and needs.

On February 14, 2022, the American Clean Power Association, Advanced Energy Economy, and the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) filed supplemental comments with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to emphasize the need and opportunity for near-term interconnection improvements.

On February 8, 2022 a company filed a circumvention petition with the U.S. Department of Commerce alleging that solar imports from Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam are bypassing anti-dumping and countervailing duties in place for imports from China.

Diverse Supplier Networking Event

Companies with diverse ownership work in every aspect and vertical within the solar industry, from manufacturers and project developers, to installers and financiers. To strengthen the DEIJ in the solar and storage industry, SEIA launched the Diverse Suppliers Database last year to connect buyers throughout the supply chain with diverse-owned businesses.
