SEIA produces a variety of research and supporting resources for the solar industry, ranging from full reports to short factsheets. This data helps inform policymakers and business leaders alike on the current state of solar and where the industry is headed.

Earlier this year the U.S. Energy Information Administration issued a proposal to update the Electric Power and Renewable Electricity Surveys, forms used to collect information on utility-scale, distributed solar projects, and utility operations.

Diverse Suppliers Networking Event June 2022

Companies with diverse ownership work in every aspect and vertical within the solar industry, from manufacturers and project developers, to installers and financiers. To strengthen the DEIJ in the solar and storage industry, SEIA launched the Diverse Suppliers Database last year to connect buyers throughout the supply chain with diverse-owned businesses.

Negotiations are heating up in Congress to finalize a budget reconciliation bill that could include historic policies for the solar and storage industries, including a long-term extension of the solar Investment Tax Credit (ITC), major investments in U.S. solar manufacturing and workforce development, and new standalone tax credits for energy storage.

President Biden has signed into law the most significant legislation on climate and clean energy in the United States' history. Now, a group of lawmakers are trying to repeal the Inflation Reduction Act as part of debt ceiling negotiations.
