Attached for your consideration and comment are draft SEIA comments on the FERC Variable Energy Resources integration rule issued June 22, 2012.   While the rule is not perfect, on review I do not find a strong legal or policy basis for SEIA to request rehearing. In order to request rehearing one must find legal error.   Therefore, the letter I propose does not seek rehearing, but instead praises the Commission for the progress it has made and urges it go further in the future. 

If you have comments and/or concerns, please provide them to me, Heather and Emily by Wednesday July 18^th.  I will be out of the office July 19^th to July 30^th so Emily will be on point to make any significant changes and get the letter filed within the 30-day rehearing period as a matter of protocol.
