SEIA produces a variety of research and supporting resources for the solar industry, ranging from full reports to short factsheets. This data helps inform policymakers and business leaders alike on the current state of solar and where the industry is headed.

Residential PV projects in the U.S. typically require several weeks to several months from contract signing to operation. Integral to PV adoption timelines is the permitting, inspection, and interconnection (PII) processes administered by the local jurisdiction and utility.

On December 1, the U.S. Department of Commerce (Commerce) determined that solar cell and module imports from Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam were circumventing the antidumping and countervailing duty (AD/CVD) orders on cell and module imports from China. Commerce also concluded, however, that four companies and specific products were exempt from the tariffs.
