Vivint announced plans last week to expand its operations in Utah. The company was born here and continues to base its headquarters in its home state.Â
This expansion is expected to create over 3,000 new jobs in Utah over the course of the next ten years. Vivint already employs 1,000 people in the state.
“Vivint Solar is proud to be headquartered in Utah,” said CEO Greg Butterfield. “Utah has cultivated a hardworking, innovative workforce and we are excited to continue to expand our operations in the Beehive State.”
Not only will Vivint be creating new jobs, but these jobs will be lucrative. The company has indicated that average wages for jobs created in the expansion plan are expected to exceed 125 percent of the Utah County average wage. Â This should prove to be a boost for Utah’s economy.
