Another major solar energy company is entering the New Hampshire market, bringing with it the promise of new jobs and cheaper electricity.
Â
San Francisco-based Sunrun, which specializes in residential roof-top solar, announced the move into New Hampshire on Tuesday, a little more than a month after a similar announcement by SolarCity.
Â
Sunrun, which operates in 13 other states, now joins a growing number of solar energy providers large and small attracted to New Hampshire by high electricity prices and government policies that favor renewable energy sources. The high prices increase the potential savings from solar installations, while the state’s renewable energy fund and net metering laws create additional incentives for would-be solar customers.
