Getting Started with 901 Milestone 2 Standards (PRC-028, PRC-029, PRC-030)

NERC Milestone 2 standards revisions were submitted to FERC in 2024, and included the development of NERC PRC-028, PRC-029, and PRC-030. These new standards focus on disturbance monitoring, ride-through performance, and post-event performance validation, respectively. PRC-028 and PRC-030 have been approved by FERC and industry is currently awaiting action by FERC regarding PRC-029. Thus, industry is ramping up efforts to comply with these standards within their respective implementation timelines. This presentation will provide an explanation of the standards, and ways in which IBR owners can begin developing procedures, systems, tools, and capabilities to comply with these standards effectively.
