DuPont, the global chemicals giant, has decided to focus on solar energy as one of the major areas of growth.

Based on continued strong demand in solar, DuPont is targeting sales of $2 billion by 2014. The company reached $1.4 billion in sales in the photovoltaic market last year. Industry experts forecast 20% growth is expected in the global installations of solar energy systems over the next five years.
