As the voice of the solar industry, SEIA serves as a portal for information and data about the federal Investment Tax Credits (ITC), Treasury Grant Program, renewable energy incentives, climate change, emerging solar technology and more. SEIA members are the first to learn the latest industry news in our weekly e-newsletter, legislative updates and action alerts and free member webinars. Invaluable Partnership Prospects

As a member, you will be privy to the frequent inquiries SEIA receives from potential investors, partners, distributors, suppliers and individuals, all of whom look to us for industry and market contacts. SEIA members also receive an optional listing in the SEIA member directory, helping businesses and individuals find your company. Plus, SEIA members can find new customers and network anytime by posting information about their products and services (or the products and services they are seeking) to the SEIA online Business-to-Business Network.

Industry Specific Divisions

Regardless of which solar technology you specialize in, you will find value in your SEIA membership. SEIA recognizes and champions all facets of the solar industry, whether you are a manufacturer, installer, project developer, financier or anything in between. SEIA members choose to belong to one of four membership divisions - photovoltaic, solar services and consumers, solar heating and cooling, or utility-scale solar power - and elect a division representative to present their interests to the Board of Directors.

SEIA Working Groups

SEIA also has working groups, made up of SEIA members, that delve into such issues as accounting and finance, appropriations, the Buy American Act, climate, labor and worker training, renewable electricity standards, siting and permitting, solar thermal messaging, tax, transmission and utility-scale solar messaging.

Collective Strength

We use the strength of one collective industry voice to create economic and political support to foster the growth of the solar industry. Combine your resources with other members of the industry and share in the power of connection to the solar industry's national trade group.

Powerful Advocacy

Federal research dollars and market incentives have catalyzed the rapid growth of the U.S. solar energy industry. SEIA has represented the policy interests of solar companies for more than 35 years by working closely with key policymakers, stakeholders and opinion leaders. Put SEIA's team of experienced advocates to work lobbying for you.

Industry Guidance through SEIA Committees

SEIA's Federal Committees play a major role in shaping SEIA policies and priorities. The Federal Committees - Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S), Government Affairs, Market Analysis and Research, Membership, and Public Relations - help guide SEIA's work and help strengthen the organization's capabilities.

The merger of SEIA and the Solar Alliance (SA) has added state committee level benefits to SEIA committee membership. These benefits include involvement in 12 state committees that include HI, CA, AZ, NV, CO, TX, MA, NJ, PA, MD, OH, and NY.
